Dr. Azka Shahid Zergham, MD, ABIM

Dr. Azka Shahid Zergham is an American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)-certified physician with extensive experience in General Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Primary Care, and Quality Improvement.

She earned her medical degree from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Pakistan and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Wakefield Campus, in the Bronx, New York. During her time at Montefiore, she also served as Chief Medical Resident, providing clinical leadership while supporting the education and development of resident physicians.

Before joining LiveYoung Medical Clinic in Milton, Ontario, Dr. Zergham served as a Primary Care Physician and Internal Medicine Faculty member at Cayuga Medical Center/Weill Cornell Medicine in Ithaca, New York. Her professional background has given her broad experience caring for patients across primary care, outpatient, and hospital settings.

Dr. Zergham’s clinical focus includes preventive care, health maintenance, comprehensive medical assessments, chronic disease management, and coordinated care with specialists. She works closely with patients to identify health risks, investigate complex medical concerns, and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s medical history, circumstances, and healthcare goals.

Having cared for diverse and underserved communities in both the United States and Pakistan, Dr. Zergham brings a culturally sensitive, compassionate, and patient-centred approach to medicine. She values clear communication and shared decision-making, helping patients understand their health conditions, available treatment options, and ongoing care plans.
